Ricardo’s Place is built on a family tradition that began with Grandma Juana in Mixtlán, Jalisco, where she was known for preparing unforgettable meals for her community. That passion for bringing people together through food was passed down to Mamacita Alicia, who brought her recipes to Southern California over 40 years ago. With her children by her side, she introduced Orange County to her rich, authentic flavors. Inspired by those traditions, Ricardo opened Ricardo’s Place in San Juan Capistrano in 2003, sharing his family’s recipes with the community he grew up in. Today, those same recipes continue to be served with pride—rooted in tradition, made with care, and meant to bring people together. Thank you for being part of our family.
